Pre-Season Launch Live

Sudden Attack Zero Point entered Steam Early Access on July 30, 2026, and Nexon immediately opened Pre-Season — the first live-service phase before formal Season 1. Pre-Season is not a separate client; it is the current ruleset window that adds City Cat to the map pool, introduces the Epic weapon part Sandstorm, and runs the Daily Login Event through August 12, 2026. This page tracks what changed on day one versus Final Closed Beta expectations, where to spend your first Key Cards, and how Pre-Season fits the 2026 Roadmap.

If you installed overnight, pair this update with Launch Week for install hygiene and Getting Started for your first matches.

City Cat — Pre-Season headline map

City Cat is the map Nexon highlighted when Pre-Season began. It joins Metro and the other bomb defusal arenas documented on Bomb Defusal Maps, giving attackers and defenders a fresh layout to learn while veteran SA players still recognize classic round tempo.

Pre-Season is the best time to queue City Cat before ranked-style pressure and clan scrims arrive in Season 1. Our dedicated City Cat guide covers callout habits, default plants, and how the map interacts with SMG versus rifle builds from the Tier List.

Sandstorm Epic part

Sandstorm is an Epic-tier weapon part introduced with Pre-Season. Epic parts sit above common shared attachments in rarity and often carry distinct visual profiles that traders watch on the Black Market. Exact stat modules will appear in patch tables — until then:

  • Test Sandstorm in Practice mode before listing or buying at inflated launch-week SP.
  • Compare against your main primary’s current barrel and grip stack in Weapon Customization.
  • Track price spreads on Black Market Items — Pre-Season exclusives typically peak days 3–7 then normalize.

Sandstorm does not replace fundamentals. Map reads and crosshair placement still decide rounds on City Cat and Metro alike.

Daily Login Event — Key Card schedule

The Daily Login Event runs July 30 through August 12, 2026. Nexon states each participating player receives three Key Cards for logging in on eligible days during the event window. Key Cards unlock or upgrade Open Weapon Parts Crates — full open-versus-sell strategy on Weapon Crates & Key Cards.

Daily Login checklist

  1. Launch the client and reach the lobby — Check-in tiers often require a successful login, not just Steam boot.
  2. Confirm the event icon at the top of the lobby (Nexon FAQ: automatic enrollment for Check-in, Playtime, Victory by playing).
  3. Visit saz.nexon.com if a web banner still requires Participate for regional bundles.
  4. Claim Key Cards before KST midnight if your streak resets on Korean server time.
  5. Budget opens — do not burn all Key Cards night one unless your Loadout Planner build is still empty.

Stack Daily Login with Playtime and Victory tracks documented on Events & Rewards for maximum Pre-Season SP and part income without paid shop bundles.

Seven maps — updated pool math

Final Closed Beta communicated four bomb and two TDM maps. Pre-Season launch materials cite seven maps total across Bomb Defusal and Team Deathmatch, with City Cat as the visible addition. Treat the pool as:

  • Bomb Defusal — Metro, City Cat, plus legacy remaster bomb layouts (see Bomb Defusal Maps)
  • TDM / CQB — Folk Village and the second close-quarters layout on TDM Maps

When Nexon publishes official radar names for every slot, we update Maps the same day. Until then, run bot bomb on every defusal layout before assuming you know all plant spots.

Pre-Season week-one priorities

Day 1 (July 30–31)

  • Complete Nexon Game Security if not done — Anti-Cheat Guide
  • Claim Daily Login Key Cards
  • Bot Bomb on City Cat + Metro back-to-back
  • One live TDM warm-up on Folk Village — Team Deathmatch Guide

Days 2–4

  • Live Bomb Defusal with comms — Bomb Defusal Guide
  • Open one crate batch after shared staple purchases
  • Ignore luxury Sandstorm listings until you know part names

Days 5–7

  • Re-test builds in Practice after any week-one balance hotfix on Updates
  • Sell duplicate crate pulls on Black Market before August 12 login streak ends
  • Read Review expectations before recommending SAZ to friends

Pre-Season vs Season 1

Pre-Season bridges Early Access launch and Season 1’s clan system, extra weapons, and additional maps on the Roadmap 2026. Features not in Pre-Season at launch:

  • Clans — Season 1 prep on Clans Guide
  • Vampire Mode — Season 2 on Vampire Mode
  • Full seasonal battle pass details — watch Steam news and Discord

Pre-Season rewards and Sandstorm availability may sunset or rotate when Season 1 begins — spend Key Cards and learn City Cat while the event window is active.
